OPENING POLICIES & PROCEDURES
We’re thrilled to announce Member-Exclusive Access to the newest Watersound Club amenity — The Third Golf Course! Members now have the opportunity to play The Third from Friday through Sunday each week. Six (6) Member-only foursomes will be selected to play each day through our new lottery system. Please read the following information that includes everything you need to know about the Member-Exclusive Access lottery.
Member-Exclusive Access
Members must enter a four-person team composed of all Club Members in the lottery request system. Teams of three or fewer Members will not be awarded a tee time.
Lottery requests may be made just as you would book a regular tee time in the tee sheet. Lottery requests must be made online, either in your Member App or the desktop Member portal. Lottery requests cannot be added by calling the golf shop.
Lottery Timing
The lottery request window will open seven days in advance from 7 AM – 3 PM for a lottery selection awarding six Members-only foursomes to play the following week.
For example, lottery requests for tee times on Friday, November 22, can only be submitted on Friday, November 15, between 7 AM – 3 PM.
Lottery Selection
The automated lottery system will select six foursomes to participate at the close of each lottery. Once the lottery is processed, Members will receive an email notification stating whether you were or were not awarded a tee time. Lotteries will be processed within 24-hours of closing.
Fair Allocation
Initial lottery tee times will be randomly awarded (i.e. 7 AM submissions will not carry more weight than a request made at 2:45 PM). A points system favoring future selections based on tee times awarded, attendance, and timely cancellations will be implemented at such time. This allows more Members to experience The Third Golf Course during the Member-Exclusive Access period.
The more points a Member is assigned based on the following criteria, the less likely they are to be awarded a lottery tee time for the following 30 days.
- 25 — If tee time is awarded. No points are assigned if tee time is not awarded.
- 50 — If an awarded tee time is cancelled within 24 hours of the assigned tee time.
- 50 — If a Member is a no show to their assigned tee time. ($50 no show fee also applies.)
One Entry Per Member
Each member is allowed a single lottery request. Members hoping to be awarded a tee time should coordinate their foursome with other Members now! The lottery system will not allow the same Member to be added to more than one foursome, regardless of who submits the lottery request.
One Foursome Request Per Membership
Family members under the same Membership who submit separate lottery requests will be automatically disqualified from participating.

TEE TIME POLICY
as of November 18, 2024
To ensure all Members have fair and equal access to the exceptional golf experiences offered at our Watersound Club championship courses, updates have been made to our Tee Time Policy, effective November 18, 2024.
Advanced Booking
Tee times can be booked 30 days in advance.
Online Tee Time Release
Available daily starting at 5 AM CST.
In-Person/Phone Booking
Begins at 7 AM CST each day.
Member-Only Tee Times
- Reserved from 7:30 AM to 10:30 AM, with access for four members or three members with one guest.
- Member-only tee times after 10 AM that remain unbooked are released 48 hours out, allowing Members to book groups with more than one guest.
- High-usage periods (e.g., holidays) may have extended Member-only tee time hours.
Camp Creek Inn Guest Access
Any unutilized Camp Creek Inn guest blocks are released to Members 48 hours out.
No-Show Policy Update
Members who fail to show up for a booked tee time without canceling at least 48 hours in advance will incur a no-show fee. This update aims to maximize course availability for all Members.
Policy Compliance
Members not adhering to these guidelines will be in violation of club policy.
These new guidelines are designed to streamline booking, prioritize Member-only play during peak hours, and encourage responsible reservation management. By establishing clear rules, we aim to enhance availability and maintain an enjoyable golfing environment for all Members.
